Laos Plans To Invite Hun Manet To Visit The Country

Japan: The Prime Minister of Laos, Mr. Phankham Viphavanh, informed the Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Sen, of his intention to invite the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and the Commander-in-Chief of the Army, Lt. Gen. Hun Manet, to visit Laos to improve the cooperation and relations between the two countries as well as the military cooperation.

Mr. Phankham Viphavanh informed PM of Cambodia during a meeting this morning in Kumamoto, Japan before the opening of the 4th Asia-Pacific Water Summit.

A Minister Delegate assigned to the Prime Minister to assist with his needs, Mr. Kao Kim Hourn, told reporters: "The Prime Minister of Laos also stated the intention to exchange visits between the two forces of the countries, in this regard, the Prime Minister of Laos will also invited HE Hun Manet to visit Laos in the near future."

The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Sen, agreed that it would be good idea for Laos to invite Hun Manet to visit as a strengthening of relations between the two countries as well as a show of good neighborliness between Cambodia and Laos.
